CSECO Contraband Detectors for Successful Contraband Detection

CSECO Contraband Detectors for Successful Contraband DetectionSearching for, inspecting, detecting, and seizing narcotics and contraband are the tasks of law enforcement agents assigned to combat illegal drugs and smuggling. That’s why need they need reliable tools to carry out their job. Thankfully, there’s Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) to rely on.

CSECO has been the leading name in the contraband detection equipment in the United States since the 1980s. Its maiden product, the Buster K910B Density Meter, was the product by company founder Patrick J. Campbell, with substantial input from a group of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents.

Since its launch, the Buster K910B had been made as an essential item for every law enforcement body — for CBP agents that check vehicles that pass the border, for the police, and for security agents that patrol the airports, ship ports, and other public areas. Because of its accuracy and dependability, the Buster had been hailed as the “gold standard” in contraband detection.

Despite receiving such accolades, CSECO knew they could make the Buster better. The result is the Buster K910G, the updated version of the much-beloved Buster K910B.

Like its predecessor, the Buster K910G emits a low-intensity gamma radiation and uses a scintillation detector. This technology enables the users to scan suspected items of various materials (like wood, rubber, reinforced plastic, concrete, metal, and dirt) as well as detect several kinds of hidden contraband (narcotics, drugs, money, weapons, explosives, and jewelry).

This very technology that the Buster uses also facilitates inspections — it is fast but at the same time accurate. It can complete an inspection on an average vehicle within 5 minutes and an average-sized room can be scanned within 10 minutes. The Buster also picks up four readings per second and uses the “backscatter radiation” technology, where the low-intensity gamma beams “bounce off” of the suspected items and reflect back to the device. The higher the density that the Buster detects from the suspected object, the higher level of gamma rays that will beam back to the device.

And not only that, the Buster K910G includes RAD-Aware technology which can detect abnormal quantities of radioactivity. It enables first responders to set up safety areas to bring other inspectors as well as civilians far from the dangerous effects of radioactivity as possible.

The Buster K910G is also the first density meter with no lead-based components! It also has a 7.5 micro curie source, which is at least 25% smaller than the competing density meters. This makes inspections safer than ever.

To really help confirm what the Buster has detected, use the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System. While it works like a fiberscope in many ways, the Perfect Vision’s superior features will outdo even the world’s leading fiberscope. Its most prominent feature is its 5-inch multi-directional high resolution color LCD monitor which is equipped with a push-button dimming and digital zoom which provides 10 times the resolution compared to that of a fiberscope. With its large display, officers won’t need to squint in an eyepiece which could make them lose visibility on their immediate surroundings. Not having to look in the eyepiece also reduces eye fatigue.

Its 2mx6mm shaft is protected with a tungsten coating, and has a two-way articulation and a potent LED lighting. The shaft can be poked or inserted into inaccessible areas for the Buster to reach.

Since the Videoscope is a one-piece tool, there’s no need for some cumbersome attachments like cables and wires. It also has an SD card slot for external storage which can save up to 8,000 photos or six hours of video evidence. Without the use of tiny glass fibers that are present in fiberscopes, the Perfect Vision is less prone to breakage and thus minimizes the need for costly repairs.

Many manufacturers claim that their fiberscope or videoscope is safe, but CSECO’s Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is the first visual inspection tool which is certified safe by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL), the trusted and leading name in product safety. This makes the Perfect Vision absolutely safe to use in high-risk areas, including fuel tanks.

Whether they’re used alone or together, both the Buster K910G Density Meter and the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System from CSECO prove to be efficient, accurate, durable, and absolutely safe to use. These tools in your arsenal are guaranteed to bring successful contraband detection.
